American Football Zombies
More zombies!
I was asked to submit my work to be featured in a zombie book The Zombook. It will feature other awesome artists such as David Hartman, Paul Garner, and Gary Pullin.
I have always thought American football players would make awesome zombies, so this was my chance to see it. The book will be published in September. Woop woop!

The Walking Dead - Daryl Dixon
I don't watch TV. But The Walking Dead (and living in Dunedin) has changed all that. It's such a cool show! And what about their character Daryl Dixon? Isn't he something? And because he's so awesome I had to draw him based on the killing spree scene in the second season.
For those of you who don't remember how awesome Daryl was in that scene, I shall kindly embed the clip here. Enjoy!

Sneak Peek - Pin up Calendar
Dan and I have been working on our big collaborated project lately. It's a pin up calendar to raise awareness of all kinds of awarenesses.
I had never done pin up illustrations before, and until I started on this project I thought it would be quite easy. What a fool I was! This has been one of the biggest challenges I have taken on so far. We end up having a discussion after each sketch because it not only has to look like a pin up, it also has to look humorous - but not offensive.
So here is a sneak peek at my February piece. A cupid shooting out condoms to raise awareness of AIDS and HIV.
And here are just a couple of failed sketches and the WIP.
I hope everyone's enjoying their Easter weekend!

Photoshop CS6
There's Photoshop CS6 Beta version out that everyone is psyched about at the moment. I haven't used it and I don't think I ever will. Here's why.
CS6 is more user friendly than CS5, but that is it. Isn't this something they could've added to CS5 before they launched it? This new version seems more like a moneymaking scheme for those who believe money grows on trees.
Do I really need a feature that changes my interface to 4 different shades of grey? Or a search box in the layers panel to search for a layer which I named? ALL of their new features seem like something I already know how to do on my own.
It is nice they are finally paying more attention to details of their software. But I think they could definitely hold on to their amazing new user-friendly features for a proper release. OR they could always release these features as free updates for their starving customers who pay a fortune for their products.
Here's a review by someone who's actually tried the new version.

Happy Easter, Kids!
To celebrate Easter and the release of The Pirates! Band of Misfits - one of the few good movies out these days...
I give you, a friendly Easter bunny! Arrr
I hardly ever get excited for movies, but I am really looking forward to watching this one. I can't wait!
Hope everybody has a nice relaxing Easter weekend (yes, we get Friday to Monday off in NZ for Easter).
Here is my first freehand sketch ever in photoshop for this good looking zombie Easter bunny. It's a mess, but now I know I can do it. Gotta save trees and all.
